Food Bank
On Monday 6th March, we will be welcoming a visitor from Brickhill Food bank to our assembly. You may be aware that Food banks provide a vital service to many communities by giving families and individuals food parcels in times of great need and often desperation. Our visitor will speak to our children at an age appropriate level, explaining the importance of Food banks.
Over 90% of food given to The Trussell Trust Food banks is donated by the public. These items are carefully allocated to give three days of balanced and nutritious meals that can be a lifeline in times of crisis.
If you feel you can give a donation of food, please send this in with your child DURING THE MORNING OF MONDAY 6th MARCH. In particular, the following items are in great need:
Cup-a-soup Cereals
Tinned fruit Biscuits
500g sugar Teabags
Coffee
Many thanks in anticipation of your support towards this event.
I know that each donation will be gratefully received.
