PTA AGM

You may be aware the PTA committee have moved on from Oakley when their children left year 6 in July. This means we are looking for a brand-new PTA!!

The PTA raises essential funds to enable the children to have resources and experiences that we may not normally be able to pay for. It is such a great help and benefit for the children to have these additional funds.

As members of the PTA, you will be able to decide what activities you would like to organise to help raise money for the school. We appreciate time can be a challenge, so many of the fundraising ideas can be organised online which is low maintenance and easy to set up.

Although the PTA will run independently from the school, we will support you and help you along the way, so you
won’t be left on your own.

We need to fill the following positions, a new chair, treasurer and secretary. Due to COVID restrictions there may only be a few events that will need organising this academic year.

The PTA annual general meeting will take place on Teams at 4.30pm on Tuesday 30th November. If you are
interested in hearing a little more about how the PTA works, please join us on the Teams meeting. You don’t need to let us know-just click the link.

If you are willing to take on one of the vacant roles or have any question regarding what the roles will involve, please contact the school and we will meet with you to discuss this. It would be great to have these roles secured before the meeting.

It would also be fantastic to hear from anyone who would like to join to help out at events.
The meetings after the PTA AGM will be decided by the group and we usually have some refreshments, sometimes we meet at the pub and we always have a little bit of fun and socialising too!

We look forward to seeing you at the PTA meeting or before.

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy, a proud member of the Meridian Trust. Having joined the school in September 2023, I am honoured to be here to seek to make Oakley the first-choice school for parents and carers in the heart of the community of our wonderful village and local area.

We hope that, during their time with us, our children will enjoy exciting new experiences, deepen and broaden their knowledge of our curriculum, make new friends and love every day. We are very fortunate to have a highly-experienced, professional and dedicated staff body whom I know are committed to ensuring we do our very best for your children.

If you are a parent / carer who is considering sending your child to join our fantastic school, we encourage you to come and see us 'in action' during the day. We are confident that you will agree this is a place your child can thrive.

I look forward to meeting you.
