PTA Christmas Fayre

Oakley Primary Academy Christmas Fayre

Saturday 2nd December 1 - 3pm

There will be lots to do, see below for just a few examples!
There will be many games and stalls including some of the usual popular ones: tombola, raffle, barrow of booze, 50/50 bucket and teddy tombola taking place in the main hall. Kids club will be transformed into Santa’s grotto where you will be able to have a drink and a cookie with Santa whilst one of his helpers reads a story. There will then be a chance to have a chat with Santa and he will hand out gifts (see booking form below). Chestnut and Willow classes will become the Elves workshop and the Reindeers stables with a range of very exciting activities and competitions!

Our raffle includes lots of prizes which are all well worth winning – many thanks to those people who have kindly donated. This will be drawn on Wednesday 13th December following the Year 5 performance.

Abby, our lovely school cook will be in the kitchen with her wonderful helpers rustling up bacon or sausage baps, pizza, mince pies and drinks. We are also having a Christmas sing-a-long at 2pm. What better way to get into the spirit of Christmas!

There will be a mufti day on Friday 1st December and we ask gratefully for donations of small toys, sweets and chocolates etc. for the tombola and/or booze for the barrow of booze. The main aim of the Fayre is for everyone to enjoy themselves and have fun and all proceeds will go straight back to the school PTA to help fund school equipment and activities for the children. These have recently included the purchase of two new interactive whiteboards for the classrooms.

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

I would like to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy. We are a friendly village school with exciting times ahead as we begin our journey of being part of the newly formed Meridian Trust. We work closely with all the schools within the Trust, as well as other schools and pre-schools in the local area. This enables us to share expertise, good practice and learn and move forward together. The close links we have with the pre-schools enable us to really get to know the pupils and their families before they join the Early Years.

We are proud to be a ‘Values School’. The values we teach are modelled by our staff members and through our teaching of the curriculum. We are a supportive and hardworking team, where all stakeholders are valued and listened to.

At Oakley Primary Academy we deliver the National Curriculum through a creative curriculum so that learning is creative, fun, and meaningful. There is a clear progression of knowledge in each subject to enable children to grow in all areas and be successful, not only academically, but in daily life.

We work very closely with the families of our school and acknowledge the importance of close home/school links.

We have an open-door policy and there is always someone available if you wish to talk.

I am extremely proud of our school and of all the hard work from our pupils, families, staff, and governors.
