Welcome to Oak class!
In Year 6 we are excited about our learning journey this year.

We will be learning all about the Industrial Revolution and Asia in Autumn. Ancient Greece and migration in Spring and Windrush and rivers in the Summer. In English we will be studying some fantastic novels and in maths we will be building our knowledge and re-visiting some things we have learned before.

In Year 6, our final year at Oakley Primary, we will take on more responsibilities, such as house captains.

If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, we are always here to support you.
We are really looking forward to the year ahead.

Information for Year 6 Parents and Carers

On Wednesday 29th November, we hosted an online Live Event for Year 6 Parents and Carers from 17:00 - 17:30.

The session covered information about the National Key Stage 2 Assessments, informally known as the SATs, which will take place in May.

The session also covered some information about the Year 6 Residential trip to Whitemoor lakes - further details on this trip will follow once we have a better idea of interest.

You can see the recording of the event below:

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy, a proud member of the Meridian Trust. Having joined the school in September 2023, I am honoured to be here to seek to make Oakley the first-choice school for parents and carers in the heart of the community of our wonderful village and local area.

We hope that, during their time with us, our children will enjoy exciting new experiences, deepen and broaden their knowledge of our curriculum, make new friends and love every day. We are very fortunate to have a highly-experienced, professional and dedicated staff body whom I know are committed to ensuring we do our very best for your children.

If you are a parent / carer who is considering sending your child to join our fantastic school, we encourage you to come and see us 'in action' during the day. We are confident that you will agree this is a place your child can thrive.

I look forward to meeting you.

Mr. Callum Brown
