Welcome to Willow Class!


We are a Year 1 class and our teachers are Mrs Hall (Monday to Wednesday) and Mrs Connolly (Thursday and Friday). Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Halford, who is amazing at helping us!
We love to learn and enjoy independently choosing our own learning during the school day. We have an outdoor area where we can develop our investigation and problem-solving skills.


We enjoy working hard and we love to move up the ‘Achievement Ladder’. When we reach ‘outstanding’, we receive a golden ticket which goes into our golden tin. At the end of the week, two children’s names are picked out of the golden tin to choose a prize from our prize box – we love to congratulate the children for their achievements.
Our PE days are on Wednesday and Thursday and we love to choose a book to take home from the library on a Tuesday.


We are very excited to begin our topic for this term, ‘My World!’ We have already started looking at our environment including our school, but I wonder what else we will discover?

Welcome to Oakley Primary Academy

It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to Oakley Primary Academy, a proud member of the Meridian Trust. Having joined the school in September 2023, I am honoured to be here to seek to make Oakley the first-choice school for parents and carers in the heart of the community of our wonderful village and local area.

We hope that, during their time with us, our children will enjoy exciting new experiences, deepen and broaden their knowledge of our curriculum, make new friends and love every day. We are very fortunate to have a highly-experienced, professional and dedicated staff body whom I know are committed to ensuring we do our very best for your children.
